When a new concert is announced, everyone H!P fan I know waits patiently for a setlist and then you’re either excited or disappointed, and end up watching the concert when it comes out on DVD either way. Recently I’ve been extremely excited about every setlist I’ve seen since I started caring about H!P concerts, so I love watching the concerts. This is for the 2008 Wonderful Hearts Summer concert, “Hello! Project 2008 Natsu Wonderful Hearts Kouen ~Hishochi de Deeto Itashima SHOW~” which roughly translates as “The summer resort date show”
Wonderful Hearts
1: Natsu LOVE Romance – All– I’ve never heard this song, but from concert stills I’ve seen, everyone is dressed in tennis clothes and holding tennis rackets, so I’m wondering how it’ll sound. Since I’ve never heard this song and it’s never been concert performed before, I’ll just sit tight and wait for it to come out.
2: Manatsu no Kousen – All– I love this song to death, so I’m expecting it to be as amazing as it is otherwise. For serious. This will be great and I know it, so I don’t need to say anymore xD
3: Edo no Temari Uta II – C-ute– This is one of the first C-ute singles since they were still releasing indies that I liked, so I’m looking forward to this. I wanna know what kind of a song it is in concerts, what kind of reaction the crowd has and stuff like that.
4: Namida no Iro – C-ute– Namida no Iro. It’ll probably be the same thing as the battle concert with a different stage and the Edo outfits. *shrug* I don’t exactly know what to think.
5: PaPancake – Koharu Kusumi– I LOVE THIS SONG. It’ll be lip synched, so w/e xD
6: Anataboshi – Milky Way– I’m looking forward to the eggs actually singing in concert instead of sorta being backup and dancing a lot wearing those silly blue berets.
7: Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance – Berryz Koubou– YES YES YES =D I love this song no matter what, so I’m looking forward to this a lot xD This is one of those songs that are like, made for concerts. Seriously xD
8: Dschinghis Khan – Berryz Koubou with Hello! Pro Egg– I wonder how the eggs will be backing up Berryz for this song? Probably just dancing in the background and maybe singing the chorus, but either way, this concert has got a lot more egg in it than I expected.
9: Resonant Blue – Morning Musume– Hopefully Reina doesn’t have a stuffy nose and the outfits are better. xD
10: Mikan – Morning Musume– I LOVE MIKAN SO MUCH =D It’s such a happy song. It’s like, my theme song I think. That and Yuke Yuke. Plus it’s a good concert song, so I’m looking forward to this even though I’ve heard it a million times xD
11: KoiING- Takahashi Ai, Noto Arisa, Sengoku Manami, Sawada Yuri, Mori Saki, Kitahara Sayaka, Kikkawa Yuu, Maeda Yuuka and Fukuda Kanon– These are some of my favourite eggs, and I love this song. I’m not sure how well it is concert performed, but I do love the song.
12: Hajimete Kuchibiru wo Kasaneta Yoru- LinLin, Suzuki Airi and Ogawa Saki– I don’t like LinLin’s voice and Ogawa Saki’s face creeps me out. I’ve never heard the song, but I hope that Airi can carry the other 2.
13: Chu! Natsu Party- Michishige Sayumi and Sugaya Risako– I hope this goes well. It’s a song that doesn’t need a lot of strain on the voice, so it’s perfect for two less-than-amazing singers. Also, I don’t hate Risako. She’s nowhere near my favourite member in Berryz, but I don’t hate her D: Sayu too xD
14: C\C- High King– I like this song, but not as much as the next song. . .
15: Kioku no Meiro- High King– I LOVE THIS SONG. IT’S EPIC IN EVERYWAY. I HOPE YUUKA GETS HER SOLO =D
16: Manopiano- Mano Erina– This song is boring. I at least hope that Erina accompanies herself. For serious.
17: Tokonatsu Musume- Niigaki Risa, Kamei Eri and Mitsui Aika– I hope they use the ZYX arrangement, because that one is loads better. Also, this song is much better if it’s done by native japanese speakers, which is why I like the ZYX version 10x better than the original.
18: Tropica~l Koishite~ru- JunJun, Sudou Maasa, Kumai Yurina, Okai Chisato, Hagiwara Mai, Arihara Kanna, Noto Arisa, Sengoku Minami, Sawada Yuri, Mori Saki, Kitahara Sayaka, Kikkawa Yuu– Such a big group x_x;; But I like this song recorded, and I hope it translates well to performances. And JunJun needs some solo lines. Plz. =D
19: Kousui- Tanaka Reina, Shimizu Saki, Tokunaga Chinami, Umeda Erika, Nakajima Saki– I’ve never heard this one either. Moving on >.>;;
20: Gachinko de Ikou- Buono!– This song is absolutely amazing, and I can’t wait to hear the full song.
21: Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!- Buono!– I don’t like this as much as Renai Rider or Gachinko de Ikou, but it’s still great.
22: Egao YES Nude- Morning Musume– I like this song in concerts, I just hope that they redistributed Yossy and Miki’s lines evenly plz. Cause I’d sure as hell like to hear some JunLin, even if I don’t like LinLin’s voice.
23: Massara Blue Jeans- Berryz/C-ute– I’m sick of this song in concerts
24: Special Generation- Berryz/C-ute– This one too
25: Love and Peace! HERO ga Yattekita- All– This song is great in concerts, and this probably won’t be any exception
26: Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou- All– (Yes, it is de wa) I had to look this song up when I heard that there was chinese in it. There’s a rip of the concert on Youtube, and there are two solo lines in the song. AND THEY GO TO JUNLIN. I was seriously happy about that. xD It was kind of given since the lines are in chinese, but they seriously needed the recognition. I have a feeling this will either be Morning Musume’s next single or the b-side. W/E, either’s fine with me. The song’s pleasant =D
so that’s it xD I am really looking forward to this concert and I hope it’s not as unsatisfying as the last Wonderful Hearts concert.
1. the song was ok, but the wota went wild when the girls hit tennis balls into the crowd.
3. It ROCKED the house. They wore the traditional looking costumes instead of the plaid ones which was cool and the dance and song was so well done live. Even the E~ehs were perfect!
5. Lip-synched but awesome anyway. Everyone was chanting Kirari instead of Koharu haha.
6. NOT lipsynced, at least by the eggs, because one of the egg’s voices was noticably tired at the performance I saw. But the dance was flawless!
13. I suspect it was lipsynched or prerecorded at least by Risako in some parts, because there was a close up of their faces at one point at one of the Chu’s and Risako was seriously like a second behind Sayu, yet the voices were in sync.
15. Oh yeah, and it rocked. Everyone loved this song to death and it recieved heaps more love than CC did.
16. Poor Mano! She actually sounded a lot better than the live recording floating around the internet, and she played the piano herself yet she sounded good. Not awesome, but she’ll get there.
26. OMG I loved this song. I’m so glad that they’re not using the recording from the concert I went to though, because I happened to accidently yell right as the first person started their line and I was the ONLY one who yelled out, really loud. I had to cos there was a close up of Koharu. I was like, ‘this feels like the last song.. sad… omg KOHARU!’ “KOHARU-CHAAAAAAAAAAAAN” and everyone else was silent, except for the person starting the song at the same second. Lol. My bad.
Anyway, sorry about the long comment, I just wanna say it was AWESOME and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Not the best, I don’t think, but its a definate improvement from some other WH concerts.
I’m surprised how many Eggs there are! HP is clearly setting them up for future groups and solos. It makes sense now that HPK (BK + C-ute) have developed into superstars in their own right.
